Looking for a motor from an Autohelm 1000. I have several 3000 wheel pilots but am running out of working motors which are unobtainable – OK you can get them from China – minimum order quantity 1,000. It occurs to me that the 1000 may share the same motor and the 1000s all failed with water on the card or knackered compass unit, so there might just be a motor or two out there. Worth a try?
(I had two Autohelm tiller pilots which easily flooded. When one failed I would take off the cover, flush it with fresh water and dry it overnight on the warm engine. Worked next day by which time the other had failed!)
