Bukh DV20 Marine diesel engine bought to replace Bukh DV10. The costs to modify propshaft, coupling, engine mounts etc made the project too expensive. This engine had been stored outside for some time making the alternator and starter motor unservicable. Also the waterpump needed a new impellor.
To start the engine I changed the oil and filter and borrowed a starter motor and water pump to test the engine. It had good compression and started on my first try. See video. https://vimeo.com/736150925
Faults noticed on this short run, oil leak from behind the flywheel, probably the crankshaft oil seal not a difficult problem to fix and two of the thermostat housing bolts did not move. Can be a bit of a nightmare.
It is being sold as spares or repair as I have no knowledge of its past life and have not investigated its condition fully as I want to get on with my life. (I am now fixing the old DV10.)
The engine is on a pallet so easily transported. Collection only, you need to arrange transport, oh by the way it is bloody heavy 230kg
